How can you prepare yourself to see this scene? I really want to know.
Honestly, How could they kill her after a long speech that Peter said on top of the bridge just a few moment earlier:
Peter : Did you get my message?
Gwen : What message?
P : I tell you what it says. It says I love you. Because I love you.
And no offense, but you’re wrong.
G : I’m wrong about what?
P : You’re wrong about us being on different paths. We’re not on different paths. You’re my path. And you’re always gonna be my path. And I
know there’s a million reasons why we shouldn’t be together. I know that. But I’m tired of them. I’m tired of every single on of them. We’ve
all gotta make a choice. Right? Well, I choose you. So, here’s my thought. England. Both of us. I’m following you now. I’m just gonna follow
you everywhere. I’m just gonna follow you the rest of my life. I mean, they got crime there in England. Yeah. They got tons of crimes, it
G : Tons.
HOW COULD THEY KILL HER RIGHT AFTER GIVING US SUCH A ROMANTIC, CUTE MOMENT LIKE THIS?
That’s so evil and cruel.
I already knew that Gwen would die in this movie when there was a leaked photo of her outfit.
There! You see, similar coat and even the purple skirt. I was just curious how it would happen. For once, I didn’t try to find out how she died in the comic. And yes, when the scene appeared right before my eyes, I was stunned. It was so fast! Someone asked me how it happened because it was fast and they couldn’t see anything. I print screened the scene for those who couldn’t catch it on the cinema. Well, actually there was an explanation in the comic
A note on the letters page of The Amazing Spider-Man #125 states: “It saddens us to say that the whiplash effect she underwent when Spidey’s webbing stopped her so suddenly was, in fact, what killed her. In short, it was impossible for Peter to save her. He couldn’t have swung down in time; the action he did take resulted in her death; if he had done nothing, she still would certainly have perished. There was no way out.”
Oh by the way, I made this post because I just got a copy of The Amazing Spider Man 2, and I tried to watch the scene again. It was definitely sad and painful. I think I don’t want to watch this movie again.
